Welcome! This is the nerve center of The Territory, better known as FD, FDT, Territory, or Darin (that’s me!). I’m a writer and content creator who got his start covering Magic: The Gathering (MTG), a collectable card game that might be one of the greatest games ever created in the history of mankind (chess is in the running as well, but it’s close). I wrote about MTG for three years, focusing on Standard and Magic Arena. As life changed, I transitioned from full-time content creation to my OTHER love, Olympic weightlifting. I both compete and coach my athletes in order to make them harder to kill and more useful in general. Also in IRL, I live in the greater St. Louis metro area with my wife and 13 y/o daughter, and my hobbies include video games, sports, and reading.
I hope to use this space as a clearinghouse for my personal thoughts previous content on MTG as well as any other interests that I pursue.
